Jose Remon, President of Responsive Technology Partners – Florida, began his inspiring journey when he arrived in the U.S. from Cuba at age 13 in 1980, quickly proving his resilience by balancing school with jobs at Maria’s restaurant and Kash & Karry Grocery store despite the challenges of adapting to a new country. At just 16 and a half, Jose joined the Navy, where he served honorably for ten years. Upon returning to Tampa, his passion for technology grew, leading him to co-found Network Engineering Solutions and later Compunet Ltd., which merged with Responsive Technology Partners in 2020. With over 40 years of experience, Jose now leads the Florida market, overseeing multiple offices, departments, and a complete data center.
Responsive Technology Partners was founded as a joint venture between Pineland Telephone Cooperative and Wilkes Communications to diversify revenue streams and provide additional services to their members.
